klika inspiracji (internet to potęga-kopalnia pomysłów)

Electra Designs Corsetry, What Katie Did i FairyGothMother - marzę o gorsecie z jednej z tych firm :D
no i wersja mniej hardcore'owa :P

Uszycie gorsetu to wiele godzin pracy i całkiem niezłe fundusze włożone w materiały.

  1. The bright pink one sold by fairygothmother is of course a Puimond corset. I love their work. I got to see some of it in fairygothmother when I was in London one day and the corset was so light, yet it was obvious that the pattern was great for waist reduction. It must have been a comfortable corset. I'd have tried it on but they didn't have one in my size.

And the underbust waistcoat corset by Miss Katie is one I've lusted after for ages, but it is quite pricey for an off the rack corset. Its a lot of work to make a corset with such a high back though so if I went for one of those one day I'd get it custom made by her instead of standard sized. It really annoys me that people steal that image to sell knock off "corsets" with rubbish plastic boning. And then people complain about the original costing "too much" because they don't understand that the others are all fakes.

I love the look of the Antoinette What Katie Did corsets. They hold the breasts in such a lovely shape, bring the best of two eras of corsetry together - the bust part of stays and the waist of victorian corsets. I own one of the Morticia corsets which was on their ebay sale page as a second, but sadly the stitching of the seams is not very strong. I tried it on and barely even laced it (you know how careful I am with corsets) and a couple of the seams started to come undone. :( It made me sad because the corset gives a glorious shape! Even when only laced in slightly it gave a gorgeous curve. Its an off-white sort of colour so I'm tempted to tea-stain it and then fix the seams with bright red thread - Emilie Autumn style! I've been meaning to do that for about a year actually. I should really get round to it....

Oh and that spiky one? Here's one you'll probably enjoy just as much if you haven't seen it already:
